Question:

185 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total area in each individual county under afforestation.

The total area of the country under afforestation at the end of 1992 is estimated to be almost 509,000 hectares. A breakdown of this figure by county is as follows:
