232 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Health if he will provide funding to the Western Health Board for the provision of a touch talker for a person (details supplied) in County Galway out of funds for the physically disabled as the Western Health Board say they do not have the funds themselves to provide this.

The provision of funding for technical aids in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, I have asked the Chief Executive Office, Western Health Board for a report on the case and I will communicate with the Deputy in due course.
