Vol. 430 No. 8

Written Answers. - Publication of National Plan.

Michael Creed

Question:

72 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will publish details of the submissions made by State agencies under his Department for funding from the next round of Structural Funds to enable a debate to take place on the priorities.

As part of the normal consultative process in relation to the preparation of the national plan my Department has received submissions from each of the State agencies for which it has responsibility. All of these submissions — together with the detailed evaluation of the existing Operational Programme for Industrial Development carried out by the Programme's External Evaluator and studies of the current Community Support Framework and submissions and proposals received from a wide range of other sources — are currently being considered with a view to finalising my Department's input to the national plan.

It is the Government's intention to publish the completed national plan shortly. The plan will represent the Government's view on priorities for the remainder of this decade. This will be subject to full debate. It is not my intention to publish details of the specific submissions made by agencies under my aegis.
