Vol. 430 No. 8

Written Answers. - Northern Ireland Talks.

Thomas P. Broughan

104 Mr. Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the extent to which his Department will be involved in the resumption of talks in Northern Ireland after the forthcoming local elections.

The Government is working for the earliest possible resumption of political dialogue, aimed at reaching a comprehensive political settlement which will address the three main relatonships and which will bring lasting peace and stability.

The Taoiseach has indicated that the Irish Government delegation in any resumed talks would be led by myself as Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs.
