Question:

163 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if applicants for new house grants who employ fully registered contractors from Northern Ireland are eligible for the £3,000 first time house owners grant.

An applicant for a new house grant who is otherwise eligible under the conditions of the scheme, may employ a contractor from Northern Ireland who has obtained a statement of suitability (T.C.5) from the Revenue Commissioners.
