Question:79 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delays in sanctioning remedial works to a dangerous heating system and other vital works in Larkhill national school, Whitehall, Dublin 9.
Written Answers. - School Repair Works.
My Department wrote to the school authorities in July 1992 authorising the appointment of private consultants to report on the requirements of the heating installation which serves the three national schools situated on the premises. This report is still awaited by my Department.
An application has also been received for repairs to windows in the senior and junior girls' schools. This is being considered by my Department and a decision in the matter will be conveyed to the school authorities in due course.
