Vol. 432 No. 6

Written Answers. - North Dublin Road Network.

Ivor Callely

Question:

124 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the large number of business houses and industry in the north city area, including Dublin Port, which are experiencing grave commercial difficulties due to lack of a proper road network to accommodate commercial traffic; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Dublin Transportation Initiative is at present preparing a comprehensive transportation strategy for the Greater Dublin Area. Among the key concerns of the Initiative are (i) ensuring that the transport system adequately addresses the needs of the city economy and (ii) improving access to Dublin Port.
