Vol. 432 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Donal Carey

Question:

172 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his beef premium; and when the file was passed from the Ennis office of his Department.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check because of invalid tag numbers. The problem with the application has now been resolved and payment should be made within a fortnight. The person named was paid his grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme in mid-June 1993. The relevant files were passed from the Ennis office on 1 March 1993 and 8 June 1993, respectively.
