174 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he will give an assurance that any proposed change in the legal status of air traffic controllers will continue to guarantee job security in the same way as occurred when other services transferred to semi-State status.

I can assure the House and the Deputy that adequate provision will be made in relation to job security for any staff of my Department who may be transferred to a new semi-State body.
