Vol. 432 No. 6

Written Answers. - Storage of Nuclear Fuel Conference.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

179 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he, or a representative from his Department, will be attending the one-day conference on the dry storage of spent nuclear fuel that is, a more economic and less wasteful alternative to reprocessing, organised by Cumbrians Opposed to a Radioactive Environment (CORE) in Lancaster on 30 June 1993 in order to impress upon the nuclear industry representatives in attendance the need for an end to reprocessing at Sellafield and Dounreay.

No. I will, however, maintain an interest in the proceedings of the conference.
