Vol. 432 No. 6

Written Answers. - Network Retailing.

Paul Bradford

Question:

114 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if there are any regulations governing pyramid or network forms of retail sales.

Pyramid selling, sometimes described as multi-level marketing, is governed by the Pyramid Selling Act, 1980. The Act is concerned with the outlawing of certain practices associated with pyramid or network selling schemes.

An explanatory leaflet on the Act is available from my Department.
