Vol. 432 No. 7

Written Answers. - Convention on Civil Liability.

Avril Doyle

Question:

23 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for the Environment the arrangements, if any, he has made for signing the Council of Europe's Convention on Civil Liability for damage resulting from activities dangerous to the environment.

There are no proposals at present for the signature by Ireland of this convention pending the further development at EC level of the proposals which have been initially outlined in the Commission Green Paper on the repair of damage caused to the environment.
