69 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment the main areas of road traffic legislation under review; whether a new comprehensive Road Traffic Bill is to be introduced; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I will shortly be introducing a Road Traffic Bill which will restate and strengthen the law relating to drink driving, introduce new measures to secure better enforcement of the Road Traffic Acts, introduce new arrangements for making traffic regulations and devolve certain functions to local authorities.
