Vol. 432 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sheep Dipping Policy.

Ivan Yates

Question:

94 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if it is the Government's policy to continue with the operations and work of sheep dipping committees throughout the country in conjunction with local authorities; if the Government have any proposals to change sheep dipping arrangements nationally; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no proposals to change the existing sheep dipping arrangements which are implemented by the local authorities under the Sheep Dipping Orders, 1965 to 1991. The continued operation of sheep dipping committees is a matter for the local authorities.
