Question:140 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if the Garda will investigate the use of poker machines in amusement arcades (details supplied) in Dublin.
Written Answers. - Poker Machines in Amusement Arcades.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that amusement arcades in Dublin city centre are regularly visited and supervised and any irregularities coming to notice are fully investigated by the Garda. I am further informed that the Garda will continue to give this matter attention and where any breaches of the legislative provisions are detected the appropriate action will be taken.
If the Deputy has information to the effect that breaches of the law are taking place in a particular establishment, he should report the matter to the Garda.
