112 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the companies, if any, that have got current mineral exploration licences in counties Sligo and Leitrim; the areas for which the licences were granted; if there is any active exploration work in progress at present by these companies; if so, the location of such exploration work; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
There are at present seven extant prospecting licences in County Sligo and four extant prospecting licences in County Leitrim. The companies to whom these licences have issued are given in Schedule 1 and the townlands involved are indicated in Schedule 2.
