Vol. 433 No. 6

Written Answers. - National Drugs Information Centre.

Ivor Callely

Question:

121 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the success of and demand for the National Drug Information Centre which was based in St. James Hospital, Dublin 8, to be re-established; if, in view of the established links and recognition of St. James Hospital as the National Drug Information Centre with most inquiries coming from the Dublin area, he will support the re-establishment of the centre in the Dublin area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The re-establishment of a National Drugs Information Centre has been recommended to me by the National Therapeutics Advisory Committee.

This recommendation is currently being examined by my Department.
