Vol. 433 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Creed

Question:

99 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid his cattle headage grant.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. The registered herd owner was, however, paid his 1992 cattle headage scheme grants at the end of December 1992. His December application for grants under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made shortly. He did not apply in the June or December 1992 application periods for the 1992 special beef premium scheme.

Question:

100 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid for all his animals in respect of the 1993 beef premium scheme.

The person named applied in the January-February application period for 1993 special beef premium scheme grants on ten animals. However, he has been deemed ineligible for the grants because he failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the scheme which required him to submit the BTE cards of the animals to the local office of my Department for punchingstamping prior to their disposal.
