Vol. 434 No. 2

Written Answers. - Casual Trading Licence.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

177 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Justice the reason the Garda Síochána are withdrawing a trading licence from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 13 in view of the fact that the trader has operated at this site without complaint for the past 15 years.

Under the provisions of the Casual Trading Act, 1980, the issue and revocation of casual trading licences are the responsibility of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment and the Garda Síochána has no functions in this regard.
