216 Mr. S. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a report on the chemical spillage which occurred at Newport Pharmaceuticals Ireland, Baldoyle Industrial Estate, on Thursday, 9 September 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Wexford): I did not formally request a report on this incident which was promptly investigated by the appropriate environmental and safety authorities. The Environmental Protection Agency issued a public statement on its investigations of the incident on 9 September 1993, the day it occurred. I am arranging to have a copy of the statement sent to the Deputy.
