Question:

271 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named has been deemed ineligible for grants under the June 1992, December 1992 and January 1993 special beef premium schemes for the following reasons:

(1) Under the June 1992 scheme he did not maintain the number of animals on which he applied for premium for two months as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme.

(2) He failed to produce identity cards in respect of 20 of the 38 animals on which he applied for premium under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme.

(3) He applied for premium on animals not in his ownership and possession on the date of application under the January 1993 Special Beef Premium Scheme.

272 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a beef premium grant was paid to a person (details supplied).

The person named has been paid his grants under the June 1992 and December 1992 special beef premium schemes.
