282 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; when his Department received this application; when it was approved; when this grant will be paid; and the approximate length of time it takes to issue payment from the date of approval.

My Department has no record of an application for grants under the 1992 or 1993 suckler cow premium schemes from the person named.

He is not in fact a registered herdowner and the number quoted as a herdowner is a flocknumber.

The person named was approved and paid his 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grant, following a computer validation process, in early September 1993. The application was received on 18 December 1992.

His application under the June 1993 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue in due course. This application was received on 28 June 1993.

The person named was approved and paid his 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grant, following a computer validation process, in early August 1993. The application was received on 30 June 1992. He did not apply under the June 1993 suckler cow premium scheme.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check because of invalid tags. The problem with the application has now been resolved and payment should be made within the next fortnight.

The person named was approved and paid his grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme, following a computer validation process in June 1993. The relevant applications were received on 26 June 1992 and 19 November 1992.

Subject to approval and clearance, in a computer validation process, the person named should be paid his 1922 Suckler Cow Premium Scheme grants within 2 weeks. His application was received on 18 December 1992.

His 1993 suckler cow premium scheme application will be processed as soon as possible.

The person named was approved and paid his grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme and June 1992 special beef premium scheme, following a computer validation process, in May and July 1993, respectively. He did not apply for grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme. The relevant applications were received on 7 July 1992.

The person named has already been paid his grants under the June 1992 suckler cow premium scheme and the June 1992 and December 1992 special beef premium schemes. The relevant applications were received on 29 June 1992 and 15 December 1992 respectively and approved for payment, following a computer validation process, in January 1993 and August 1993, respectively.

My Department is unable to trace any application from the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage or suckler cow premium schemes. He has already been paid his grants under the June 1992 and December 1992 special beef premium schemes. The relevant applications were received on 1 July 1992 and 3 December 1992 respectively and approved for payment, following a computer validation process, in February 1993 and August 1993, respectively.

The person named did not apply for grants under the 1992 or 1993 Cattle Headage Schemes. He applied for the Suckler Cow Premium in December 1992. He was notified on two separate occasions to collect his cattle for inspection. As he failed to do so on both occasions he has been deemed ineligible for the Scheme.

The person named was approved and paid his June 1992 Special Beef Premium Scheme grants, following a computer validation process, in early March 1993.

I cannot state, in this case, when the application was received as the file is, at present, with field staff for inspection.

The person named did not apply for 1992 Special Beef Premium Scheme grants in the December 1992 application period.

The person named applied on 16 December 1992 for 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grants on 30 animals.

At a field inspection on 8 April 1993 he only presented 29 animals and 10 of these, which were listed on his application, were found to be in-calf heifers. Under EC Regulations he is debarred from the 1992 and 1993 suckler cow premium schemes.

The person named is not eligible for grants under the Cattle and Equines Headage Schemes as his lands are not situated in a disadvantaged area. He was approved and paid his June and December 1992 special beef premium schemes grants, following a computer validation process, in January 1993 and August 1993 respectively. These applications were received on 30 June 1992 and 19 November 1992 respectively.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. However the registered herd owner has already been paid his grants under the June 1992 and December 1992 special beef premium schemes. The relevant applications were received on 29 June 1992 and 8 December 1992 and approved for payment, following a computer validation process, in November 1992 and August 1993, respectively.

295 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; when his Department received this application; when it was approved; when this grant will be paid; and the approximate length of time it takes to issue payment from the date of approval.

The person named, who is not the registered owner of either herd number quoted, was approved and paid his June 1992 special beef premium scheme grants, following a computer validation process, in mid-December 1992. This application was received on 22 June 1992.

His December 1992 application was received on 2 December 1992 and approved and paid, following a computer validation process, in mid-June 1993.

He applied for premium on 50 animals under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme. The processing of this application is being held up as the applicant has sent cattle identity cards to the local office of my Department in respect of only 18 of the 50 animals applied on.

His June 1993 application for special beef premium scheme grant is being processed at present and if approved, payment will be made as soon as possible.

296 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant and a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; when his Department received this application; when it was approved; when this grant will be paid; and the approximate length of time it takes to issue payment from the date of approval.

Under EC Regulations governing the suckler cow premium scheme for small scale milk producers the person named was deemed to need 14 cows to produce his milk quota of 9,746 gallons. Since he had a total of 24 cows he could only be paid suckler cow grants on ten cows in 1992 was in fact the maximum for all small scale milk producers.

His application was received on 7 July 1992, was approved for payment, following a computer validation process, in November 1992.

The person named was approved and paid his December 1992 special beef premium scheme grants, following a computer validation process, in mid-July 1993. This application was received on 1 December 1992.

The person named was approved and paid his grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme, following a computer validation process, in September 1993. The relevant application was received on 27 November 1992. He did not apply for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme.

There is no record in my Department of an application by the person named to sell his milk quota.

The person named did not complete his 1992 suckler cow premium scheme application form correctly. He has now done so and his grant under this scheme will be paid shortly.

His June 1992 suckler cow premium scheme application was received on 20 June 1993 and if found in order payment will issue in due course.

The application of the person named for grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check because of an invalid tag. The problem has now been dealt with and it is expected that payment will be made within the next fortnight.
