Vol. 434 No. 2

Written Answers. - Railway Station.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

332 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications whether he has requested EC Structural funding to facilitate the possible reopening of Kilcock Railway Station, County Kildare, for commuter traffic; if he will pursue such a proposal; when he expects to achieve a satisfactory outcome; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The upgrading and reopening of railway stations, including Kilcock station are matters for the day to day administration of Iarnród Éireann. Accordingly, I have no function in the matter.
