Vol. 434 No. 2

Written Answers. - Urinating in Public.

Noel Ahern

Question:

355 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the recent court decision to the effect that urinating in public is no longer an offence; his views on whether the decision is a cause for concern; and if his Department has made a submission on the matter to the Department of Justice.

The Department of Justice were contacted regarding this matter and confirmed that the behaviour to which the Deputy refers may still constitute an offence.
