397 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she will provide details of those who applied for national lottery funds in each of the years 1991, 1992 and 1993; the applicants who were successful; the amount of grant approved in each case; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The information in the format requested by the Deputy is not readily available and the cost in staff time of assembling such information would not be justified.
I would refer the Deputy to the 1991 Appropriation Accounts which give details of payments made by my Department in respect of national lottery funded schemes in that year. The 1992 Appropriation Accounts are due to be published shortly. I have also arranged for a copy of the 1991 and 1992 sport section annual reports to be forwarded to the Deputy which outlines details of the various schemes and the payments made.
Should the Deputy wish to enquire about a particular case I will endeavour to supply the information sought.
