449 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education the number of pre-schools which will be established in 1993 in accordance with the Programme for Government; the number of teaching posts involved; the location of the pre-schools; when they will come into operation; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
456 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, she has made in relation to the promised pre-schooling system for disadvantaged areas; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 449 and 456 together.
As detailed planning of the proposed pre-school projects, which I have announced, has not yet been completed, I am not in a position to give all the details sought by the Deputies.
