Adjournment Debate Matters.

An Leas-Ceann Comhairle

The Ceann Comhairle wishes to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Connaughton — The question of upgrading the status of the N63 road, County Galway, from Loughgeorge junction to Roscommon; (2) Deputy Dermot Ahern — the realignment of Ballymascanlon Bridge, Dundalk, County Louth; (3) Deputy Jim Mitchell — The proposal to use Everton House, Old Cabra Road, Dublin 7, as a day centre for female prisoners on temporary release; and local concern at this proposal; (4) Deputy Broughan — Government policy on Sellafield following the end of the British Government's second consultative process on the matter. (5) Deputy O'Leary — The need to allow farmers to draw headage and other grants on cattle sold off the land before the herd is read on the farm; (6) Deputy Dukes — Delays in payments of livestock premia to farmers, resulting in serious difficulties for farm households throughout the country; (7) Deputy Rabbitte — The proposed restoration of export credit insurance cover for beef exports to Iran. (8) Deputy Creed — The public declaration by Macroom UDC that the town water supply is unfit for human consumption; and the failure of the Department of the Environment to sanction approval for a new town water supply scheme; (9) Deputy Boylan — The grant-aid, if any, available to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan who has to repeat first year at university for medical reasons; (10) Deputy Jim Higgins — The need to make a place available in Cregg House, County Sligo, for a person (details supplied) who urgently needs residential care; (11) Deputy Enda Kenny — the circumstances surrounding the closure of the Larbaun Factory, Westport, County Mayo, with the loss of 65 jobs.

The Ceann Comhairle has selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies Dermot Ahern, Dukes, Broughan and Enda Kenny.
