42 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction can be expected from his Department for the project to be carried out by Sonas for Women's Aid at Killester, Dublin 5; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The project is one proposed to be undertaken with the assistance available for the provision of housing accommodation by approved voluntary housing bodies. My Department's involvement relates primarily to the provision, within the allocation available in the Public Capital Programme, of funds for individual projects. The detailed administration of the relevant schemes, including certification that particular projects comply with the terms of a scheme, is the responsibility of the local authority, in this instance Dublin Corporation. Formal application for the funding of the project referred to has not been received from the Corporation
