Vol. 434 No. 9

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Michael Finucane

Question:

88 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the fact that no allocation of national lottery funds was made to local authorities for the years 1992 and 1993, such an allocation will be made in 1994; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Paul Bradford

Question:

165 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment if, with reference to Parliamentary Question No. 231 of 6 October 1993 he intends to have funding provided in 1994 for a national lottery amenity grant scheme thus allowing local community and sporting groups to seek lottery funding; and if, in view of a previous commitment that local authorities would be the distribution agency for such lottery funding, he will give his intentions in this regard.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 88 and 165 together. This is a matter for the Government to decide in the context of next year's estimates.
