Contract documents for the proposed causeway are under consideration in my Department at present. Preparation of the detailed design for the proposed treatment plant, in accordance with the approved Environment Impact Statement, is now a matter for Galway Corporation. No proposals relating to this element of the proposed development are at present awaiting approval in my Department.
