Question:154 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make it compulsory for all local authorities to implement the 1 per cent scheme in relation to all projects which qualify under the scheme.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 128 and 154 together.
Consultations are taking place between my Department and the Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht regarding the implementation of the provision in the Programme for a Partnership Government in relation to the artistic embellishment scheme. Local authorities will be advised in due course of the new arrangements.
