Question:

153 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment the international organisations of which Ireland is a member for which he has responsibility.

Wexford): Annual membership costs and other responsibilities of Ireland's membership of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are met by the Department of the Environment. The Department also has an interest, arising from its various functions, in other aspects of the work of the UN and in the work of OECD, the Council of Europe, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, HABITAT, the International Labour Organisation, the European Standards Organisation (CEN), the International Standards Organisation, and the European Council of Ministers of Transport.
