164 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received requests for financial aid from Kildare County Council in view of the flooding in June 1993; if so, if he has responded to this request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The position in relation to assistance to local authorities in respect of damage caused by flooding is outlined in the replies to Questions Nos. 84, 85, 86, 87 and 89 on 23 June, 1993. No request for such assistance has been received from Kildare County Council.
