Question:66 Mr. Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly) asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve the recommended tender which is with his Department for the Clara Regional and Ferbane/Belmont water supply scheme, County Offaly.

Tender proposals for the Clara Regional water supply scheme, Stage I — which does not, however, extend to Ferbane/Belmont — are under consideration in my Department. The question of financing for this scheme will be examined in the context of the post-1993 Operational Programme for Environmental Services.
