Vol. 435 No. 3

Written Answers. - Review of Medical Care.

Noel Ahern

Question:

121 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if he will have the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 reviewed in view of the circumstances of the case.

I do not consider it appropriate for me to comment on the clinical details of an individual patient.

However, I have been informed that the patient in question was seen by an Accident and Emergency Consultant on 8 October, 1993, and following assessment, was referred to another consultant. The patient was given a priority out-patient appointment for 23 November 1993.

If the patient's condition has deteriorated, he-she should contact his-her general practitioner who would be in the best position to take up the matter with the consultant.
