Question:99 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Justice if she will expedite a land transfer dealing (details supplied) in County Cork as all the information required by the Land Registry has now been submitted.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for what is referred to as a transfer of part and release which was lodged in the Land Registry on 10 August 1993. Due to pressure of work in the Land Registry generally, there is at present a delay in dealing with applications of this nature.
I am also informed, however, that it is the policy of the Land Registry to try in so far as possible to expedite cases in which it can be established that circumstances of special urgency exist. Any such case will be specially considered if details of the reasons for urgency are submitted in writing to the registrar.
