At third level, one project is at formal physical planning stage. It was initiated in 1992 and comprises an extension to the new regional technical college library.
A further range of capital projects for UCC and the regional technical college is at present under consideration by my Department for inclusion in the 1994-1999 European Regional Development Fund Programme.
As with all areas of the country, the accommodation requirements of the Cork area are monitored closely by my Department and every effort is made, within the limits of the resources available, to ensure that there are adequate facilities available.
