46 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will include moneys in the 1994 Budget to assist the Women's Aid organisation, particularly in view of the increased use of their telephone helpline and the increased numbers of women who find it necessary to avail of the Women's Aid support services.

The Women's Aid organisation in their pre-budget submission have sought funding from my Department under a number of headings. The submission will be considered in the context of the forthcoming budget.
