M. J. Nolan

Question:

96 Mr. Nolan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have arrangements made for the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow in view of the circumstances associated with the case.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 87 and 96 together.

A new house grant cannot be allowed in this case as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the applicants previously purchased or built another house for their own occupation. I do not propose to amend this condition of the scheme.
