Question:208 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance the estimated cost of extending the relief of donations from the corporate sector to health-related registered charities under Section 51 of the Finance Act, 1993.

The cost to the Exchequer of the proposed measure, in terms of tax foregone, would depend on the extent to which corporate taxpayers availed of the extended relief. It is not possible to provide an estimate of this.
