223 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Finance if he will give a list of the names of persons, other than those in the permanent civil service, who currently hold positions in his Department, Ministerial office, or the office of each Minister of State; the nature of the appointment; and the current salary payable.
For the purposes of reply, it is assumed that the Deputy is referring to temporary rather than unestablished posts in the Civil Service. Temporary posts do not come within the scope of the Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956. However, unestablished posts, such as some service officer and service attendant posts, are provided for in the list of scheduled occupations in that Act. The following table shows the information requested, in relation to temporary posts, in so far as my Department is concerned.
