Vol. 437 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Dublin Drainage System.

John Bruton

Question:

314 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment the position in regard to the proposal by Dublin and Meath County Councils to allow an extension of the County Dublin drainage system to serve Dunboyne and Clonee, County Meath; and the progress, if any, made in this matter since his reply to a parliamentary question from Deputy J. Bruton on 10 February 1993.

Meath County Council have submitted a preliminary report for the works required in their functional area, and this is under consideration in my Department.

While contract documents have been received in my Department in respect of works in Fingal County, a certificate of planning is awaited from the County Council confirming completion of detailed requirements for this part of the scheme.
