Question:350 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for the Marine the boards, committees, companies or other bodies under the auspices of his Department; and, in each case, whether the Chairperson is male or female, the number of other members of the boards who are female and male and whether their Chief Executive or holder of an equivalent position is male or female.

(C) Ministerial appointees only. The company was originally established as a private company in 1947. In 1949 the Minister for Lands acquired shares in the company under the Alginate Industries (Ireland) Ltd. (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1949.
(D) Ministerial appointees/nominees only. The Harbour Authorities were established under various Statutes/Charters dating from the 1800's and earlier in some cases. They now operate under the Harbours Acts 1946 to 1976.
