Seymour Crawford

Question:

487 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the 22 month cattle premium and suckler cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

Assuming the applications of the person named for grants under the 1993 suckler cow and January-February 1993 special beef premium schemes are in order, 60 per cent advances as provided in EU regulations will be paid shortly.

He did not submit an application for 22 month premium under the special beef premium scheme in the June 1993 application period.

Question:

488 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he has now completed his investigations, as indicated in his reply on 17 November 1993, regarding grants for sheep headage for 1992 and 1993 and quota for a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

All checks have now been completed in respect of the acreage declared by the person named on his applications under the 1992 and 1993 sheep headage schemes and grants due under both years schemes will be paid shortly.

The person named has been allocated a sheep quota of 116 from the national reserve and he will be receiving official notification of this shortly, following which payment of his 1993 ewe premium will be made.

Donal Moynihan

Question:

489 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of 1992 special beef premium will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named has been deemed ineligible for grants under the June 1992 special beef scheme because he did not maintain the number of animals on which he applied for premium for two months as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme.

He has already been paid his grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and, if found in order, a 60 per cent advance, as provided for by EU regulations, will be paid shortly.
