524 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health the provision, if any, that has been made in the 1994 Estimates for the capital works programme, Phase 1, at University Hospital, Galway; if money has been made available for this work; when construction will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The health capital programme for 1994 has not yet been finalised, so I am not in a position at this stage to give the details requested by the Deputy in relation to the proposed development at University College Hospital, Galway.
I fully accept the need for this development and I intend to give it a high priority in the allocation of the limited discretionary capital funding at my disposal in 1994.
