545 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Health if he will give a list of the names of persons, other than those in the permanent Civil Service, who currently hold positions in his Department, Ministerial office, or the office of each Minister of State; the nature of the appointment; and the current salary payable.
I presume the Deputy is referring to temporary rather than unestablished posts. Temporary posts do come within the scope of the Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956. However, unestablished posts such as some Service Officer and Service Attendant posts are provided for in the list of scheduled occupations in that Act. The following table shows the information requested in relation to temporary posts in so far as this Department is concerned. This information was previously given on 16 February 1993 in reply to questions from Deputy Jim Higgins.
