Vol. 437 No. 6

Written Answers. - Provision of Alternative School Entrance.

Enda Kenny

Question:

557 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to investigate the possibility of providing an alternative entrance from Kilmaine national school, County Mayo, in view of the danger to school children there; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The position is that the Department will not raise any objection to the school authorities at Kilmaine NS providing an alternative entrance to the school. The chairman of the board of management has been informed that the cost of the project should be met from the balance of the moneys received from the sale of the former Kilmaine national schools.
