636 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education the extent to which a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will qualify for a higher education grant in her capacity as a mature student in 1994, having completed her Leaving Certificate in 1988; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I understand from Kildare County Council, which is the body statutorily entrusted with the administration of the higher education grants scheme in this case, that it has no record of receiving an application for a grant from the person in question. If the candidates submit a grant application, Kildare County Council will consider it in the usual way in accordance with the terms of the relevant scheme.
