Vol. 438 No. 1

Written Answers. - Government Expenditure.

Ivan Yates

Question:

50 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance the percentage increase over the previous year of non-debt related Government expenditure for the years 1992, 1993 and estimated for 1994.

For the information of the Deputy, Government expenditure has been broken down between current and capital expenditure. Because current expenditure is determined on a net basis and capital expenditure on a gross basis, it is inappropriate to combine them.
