Question:

70 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will pay a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin in view of the fact that this person in unable to obtain a legal separation at this time as she cannot locate her husband and in view of the fact that the non-payment of the grant is causing hardship in this case.

In the circumstances of this case, my Department is making further contact with the applicant in an effort to establish whether or not she may be eligible for a grant.
